Cancun has always been on our travel bucket list, and when we found this incredible Airbnb, we knew it would make our trip truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into our own private paradise. The property offered everything we could have wanted and more, making our stay a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Cost: $49/night

The Property: A Haven of Luxury

What really stood out about this Airbnb were the amenities. First, there were three pools! We spent mornings lounging by the infinity pool, with stunning views of the turquoise waters of Cancun, and afternoons cooling off in one of the more secluded, quieter pools. Having access to multiple pools gave us the flexibility to relax wherever the mood took us.

Melissa and I are both big on fitness, so the fully equipped gym was a huge bonus. Whether it was a quick workout in the mornings or unwinding in the evenings with a gentle yoga session, the gym had everything we needed to stay active.

Relaxation at Its Finest

One of our favorite parts of the property was the sauna and massage room. After a day of exploring Cancun, we’d return to the property, and it felt like we had a private spa at our disposal. The sauna was the perfect way to relax sore muscles, and we treated ourselves to a couple’s massage in the dedicated massage room. It felt like a luxury retreat within our own space, adding to the sense of complete relaxation and rejuvenation.

Rooftop Views and Romantic Evenings

The rooftop views were simply breathtaking. Every evening, we’d grab a drink and head up to the rooftop to watch the sunset. The panoramic views of Cancun and the coastline were something we’ll never forget. It became our little tradition to unwind up there, enjoying the gentle evening breeze and reflecting on our day’s adventures.

A Memorable Experience

From the pools and gym to the sauna and rooftop, this Airbnb offered us the perfect balance of relaxation and luxury. It became our personal haven in Cancun, and we couldn’t have asked for a more romantic and rejuvenating experience. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already dreaming about coming back.

This property truly made our trip special, and if you’re ever planning a trip to Cancun, we can’t recommend it enough. It was the perfect home away from home for us, and we know it will be for you too.

Places to visit in Lake Atilán, Guatemala recommended by yours truly, Melissa n’ John!

We’ve always been drawn to the road less traveled, and our recent backpacking adventure around Lake Atitlán in Guatemala was no exception. This breathtaking lake, surrounded by volcanoes and dotted with charming towns, offered us an unforgettable blend of adventure, culture, and serenity. We’re excited to share our experiences in some of Lake Atitlán best places to visit including the most enchanting towns and hoping to inspire fellow travelers to embark on this remarkable journey.

Panajachel: Our Vibrant Starting Point

Walking down the main drag in Panajachel, Guatemala

Our adventure began in Panajachel, the bustling gateway to the lake. We were immediately captivated by its lively streets, brimming with colorful markets selling exquisite local handicrafts. The cafes along the lake provided us with stunning views and a taste of the region’s vibrant culture. Panajachel was the perfect introduction to the wonders of the best places to visit in Lake Atitlán.

San Juan La Laguna: A Backpacker’s Dream

Melissa exploring the market in San Juan

We wandered through narrow cobblestone streets, admiring vibrant murals and engaging with friendly locals who shared their traditions and stories. Exploring the local markets, we discovered exquisite handwoven textiles and savored delicious Guatemalan cuisine. Our favorite was the $1 chicken wings and fries!

Santa Cruz La Laguna: Our Peaceful Retreat

John hiking up the winding road from the lake to the mountain town of Santa Cruz, Lake Atilán.

Seeking tranquility, we headed to Santa Cruz La Laguna. This serene town, accessible only by boat (or lanchas), offered us a peaceful escape with its stunning vistas. We enjoyed hiking, diving into the clear lake waters, and partaking in yoga sessions at a stunning hostal. Santa Cruz was our perfect respite from the world.

San Marcos La Laguna: A Spiritual Sanctuary

In San Marcos La Laguna, we found a community dedicated to spiritual well-being. We engaged in meditation, yoga, and holistic therapies, which were rejuvenating.
